Ingredients
- 500 gm (or 3-4 palm size slices) of koduva Fish
- 1 medium size onion sliced
- 1 Red chilli
- 1/2 inch ginger
- 6 flakes of garlic
- 3 tbsp coconut milk powder or 3-4 tbsp grated coconut (optional)
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp tamarind paste or 1 marble size tamarind dissolved in 1 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp oil for frying
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander for garnishing
- 5 kali mirch
- 2 laung
- 1/2 Dalchini
- 1 Elaichi
- 1/4 tsp haldi
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp mustard (rai)
How to Cook
- Add 1 tbsp spoon of oil in Kadai and let it heat up
- Once oil is heated up Add Onion in it and kali mirchi, Jeera and laung in it just follow the old traditonal Indian style of cooking.
- Add Ginger, Garlic, haldi and all masale to it and let onion turn brownish.
- Once all the masale are properly cooked add 1 glass of water to it and let it cook for 15 mins.
- After 15 mins add Koduva Fish slices into the Curry and keep it for 15 mins.
- (Optional method) you can first oil fry the Fish pieces and after that you can add it into the curry as well. It will give a different taste to the Fish curry
- After 15 mins you Tasty curry is ready to be served
- Enjoy Tasty Traditional Koduva Curry with plain Rice or Roti bhakri.
